Doulton had a rough start. He was a bit malnourished when we first got him due to a heavy load of parasites. After his first year, his health improved and he has grown into a handsome stud. Doulton descends from such Accoyo greats as Vengador, Camilio & Royal Fawn. His excellent bite and conformation and commanding presence complement his mild temperment and dense, crimpy, bright fleece. His fleece is exceptionally fine, 15.6 MICRONS! With Caligula and Bueno in her background, how can you lose? As this lineage suggests, her heritage is 1/2 Accoyo and 3/8 Alianza. Judge Amanda VandenBosch called Venus the full package: fine, crimpy fleece with amazing staple length and consistency; dense bone structure with perfect conformation; and excellent bite. She's a beauty true to her name. VENUS HAS RIBBONED IN EVERY SHOW ENTERED, IN SOME VERY LARGE CLASSES. With two blue ribbons in the ring, her fleece is moving on to earn her more blue's (and a reserve color championship!) as she has retired from the ring to begin her breeding career. Cameron Holt, THE FAMOUS fiber expert, absolutely loved her fleece too! (see Doulton)
**At this time, we feel the judges have validated our perception of Venus' high quality, so we have retired her and her fleece from the show ring.
She had a persistent hymen, but has finally had her first cria, Jupiter, who is FULL PERUVIAN AND 3/4 ACCOYO, and 3/16 ALIANZA!
Unfortunately, Venus passed away. The vet said he thinks either a gunshot or an aneurysm in the lung was to blame as her lung suddenly filled with blood.
